Wow Wednesday: Black Excellance

When I hear about women like Simone Biles, Simone Manuel, and Michelle Carter doing their thing in at the Olympics in Rio I’m at awe and at the same time proud. To see these women strive for excellence and receive gold medals is so awesome. I don’t know the back story of  these women, but what I do know is it took a lot of hard work and sacrifice to get to where they are. Good job ladies!!!!

I’d also like to toot my own horn this Wow Wedensday and salute my oldest son. This week was his first week of school at Central State University. What’s the big deal you say…. Well my son is the first male in my family to go away to college and attend a 4-year university. There were times I didn’t think he would graduate high school  or that he even cared about his future, but he would always tell me different. I can’t tell you how proud I am of my son.

Know that all things are possible when you work hard and put in the work. Nothing great comes easy. You may have nay-sayers and people who doubt you. Stay focused on your dreams and aspirations and let nothing stop you!

Peace and love
