My natural hair regime and products

As of right now my natural hair regime is very simple. I have a twa and my hair is very curly, so my go to style is a wash and go.

I shampoo my hair every other week. I just started using MillCreek Botanicals Biotin Shampoo. This shampoo is formulated to treat the scalp and strengthen hair. I have a dry itchy scalp and I wanted a sulfate free shampoo that would clean my hair and scalp without stripping my hair. This shampoo also includes biotin and other ingredients that strengthens hair and helps with growth.

I condition my hair with Pantene’s Relaxed and Natural Intensive Moisturizing conditioner. I usually shampoo and condition in the shower (tmi I know), so I only let the conditioner sit for a few seconds. This conditioner makes my hair soft and it adds the moisture it needs without wearing it down. I don’t know if it’s sold in stores I have plenty of small tubes from hair dye.

I co-wash with Patene’s natural line Co-wash. I love love love this co-wash. It cleanses my hair, maintains moisture, and revives my curls. The week I don’t shampoo I co-wash twice and only once during shampoo week.

After shampooing or cowashing I remove excess water from my hair with an old tshirts. Doing so decreases frizz and breakage.

So far the LOC method (liquid, oil, and cream) works best for my hair. While my hair is still wet (liquid) I apply my oil mixture which contains evoo, coconut oil, peppermint oil, rosemary oil, and lavender. I will do another blog explaining the benefits of oils. Next I add my cream product.

The two cream products I use are Shea Moistures’ Hair Milk and Curling soufflé. If I’m going to let my hair dry over night I use my curling soufflé and add my hair milk the next morning. If I’m going to let my hair air dry I apply my hair milk and soufflé. I use my Shea Moisture Hair Milk as my daily moisturizer/ leave in.

As you can see my regime is fairly simple. My twa is still really short and does not require much maintenance. While on my “no cut “challenge my focus is healthy hair more so than length so the products I use is more healthy hair focused.
